Mike Weiss has been playing the drums since he was 9 years old, and had his first paying gig at the age of 12.  Mike's early drum influences are Phil Collins (when he was a drummer!), Bill Bruford, Neil Peart, Mick Fleetwood and Simon Phillips.  In the early 80's, Mike joined his older brother's cover band, "JP and the Executives", playing everything from Springsteen to Rush.  Later, while attending high school in Madison, NJ, Mike met guitar player extraordinaire Ed Liu, who was playing in a rival cover band.  Mike made Ed an offer he couldn't refuse, and the two went on to form "Lost Generation", a rock cover band winning numerous local and regional Battle of the Bands in the late 80's.

Fast forward to 2007 (Mike doesn't remember much of the 90's), when almost 21 years after his first chance encounter with Ed Liu, Mike and Dangerous New Highs co-founder Charles Sickles came upon Ed Liu playing guitar for food scraps in Central Park (well, not really).   Making Ed a similar offer he couldn't refuse (and throwing in some food scraps), Mike, Ed and Charles went on to form Dangerous New Highs, and the rest as they say is history.
