As the newest member of DNH, Brian Kane has been playing bass since he was 11 years old. His early influences were John Paul Jones, Geddy Lee, and Sting. Brian first played in his school's concert and jazz bands, learning to play the upright bass at that time. Since then, Brian has been a veteran on the East Coast music scene, playing and recording with numerous artists and bands along the way such as 'Big Business' (with Ted Nugent's drummer), the John Taglieri band, and others .
Brian first met singer/keyboardist Lauren Gibbs in high school where they quickly became friends and bandmates. Over the years they have played in three different bands together, and are now musically reunited again in Dangerous New Highs. "I am very excited to be a part of this band and to be playing with such high-caliber and versatile musicians", says Brian.
When not playing bass, Brian can be found working on his stamp collection.
